We left Chinchilla this morning after seeing the family and taking loads of photo’s, not often we are all together. The stay was good with Luke and Terri, alot warmer than out on the farm.
Chinchilla is a lovely little town, nice and clean and well presented, we were looking at property up the road from Luke’s place, lovely big home and huge shed for Ty to start “Tytan Diesel”….wishful thinking !!! LOL.
So we headed down to Toowoomba and then we decided to drive through Grantham and see how they were going since that tragic day the water changed their lives. There is no way to describe what we saw….it was heartbreaking and we were only looking at the place months after it happened….Its hard to comprehend what it would have been like for these poor people….The fear that must have come upon them during this moment is something I would not even be able to imagine…I hope this never happens ever again, and I can now understand how people just don’t ever recover from such tragedies.
So we made it to the gold coast and down to Currumbin where we are staying with Sharon and Jessica…friends of Ty’s.
We went to “Ripley's Believe it or not” , What a fun place to go !!! Then Bree had to go back to Build A Bear and adopted another bear , this time she got herself a cute little Rabbit , so we dressed her in winter clothes to remind Bree of her winter holiday. Her name is Snow.

I don’t think I have eaten so much yummy home style cooking in a long time. Pineapple Meringue, Cheesecake, Scones and Jam, Pikelets, Beef Stroganoff, Silverside, and loads more. I love country cooking and just lazing around the house not really doing anything.
This afternoon I got Ty to take me into Jandowae to go to a local op shop about 3o klms away, I scored a cute little cream electric jug for just $1.00 I will put some pictures up later. No internet here. 
Tomorrow after lunch we are going to head over to Luke’s place to stay a couple of days before we head down to the Gold Coast. While we are there I hope to catch up with an old friend Sharon , she lives in Condamine not far from Chinchilla where we will be staying.
This morning we flew down to Brisbane then drove out to Toowoomba. I had previously asked Ty if we could go to one of my old favourite op shops. OMG it smelt the same as 7 years ago, not much had changed. I eventually found some pastel plates that I have been collecting for sometime, they had $4.00 on them but I was lucky enough to get them for a $1.00 each.
We then headed out to Dalby…had a drive around past where we used to live, checked out how much it had changed since we left.
Bell was our next stop, a cute little country town in the middle of no where. About 30 klms down the road we arrived at “Niagara” the property that Ty’s parents care take.
It is a very old house and very run down, such a shame they have not maintained it. So I wondered around with my camera and took these pictures.
This old house was hand made with just slabs of timber and wire..a bit spooky to go inside !!

I love this gate, it is so romantic looking, crazy hey but I think its really nice, wish I had it in my garden.
This is “ UFA” nan and pops little dog they have had for about 11years
Pop had the sprinkler on in the front garden and as the wind got stronger we noticed this lovely rainbow.
This is a 300 year old bottle tree out in the paddock next to the house. I noticed something that no one else had before….can you see it ?? LOL
The old house is full of old period style features…..I Love them all.
This afternoon we had a visit from these lovely girls, they were very interested in what I was doing.
This is where the dogs used to sleep, its actually bigger than it looks.
